# How to update donor details and edit a donation tax receipt
After a donation has been made, the event organizer or fundraising coordinator can update the donor details if needed (i.e. the update donor information, display name, anonymize the donation, etc.). If a tax receipt has been issued, some fields will be limited for editing and the tax receipt will need to be voided first, then edited and re-issued.
#### **Updating donor details:**
1\. Sign in to the [**event dashboard**](https://help.raceroster.com/en-us/knowledge-base/signing-in-to-race-roster-and-accessing-dashboards?hsLang=en-us)
2\. Search the menu on the left for **Management → Fundraising → Donation report**.
3\. Use the search function on the Donation report to locate the donation/tax receipt that needs to be edited.
4\. Select the blue **Edit** button to the right of the donation, update as needed, then select **Save**.
#### **If an automated tax receipt has been issued:**
5\. To edit the information when a tax receipt has been issued, select the blue **Void charity receipt** button.
6\. All necessary updates can then be made. Once completed, select the **Save & re-issue** button on the bottom right. This will send out the updated tax receipt to the donor.
