How to Create and Assign Awards

The Awards tool allows you to create, manage, and assign a variety of awards to recognise participant achievements. Awards can be configured manually, displayed publicly, and assigned automatically during results processing.

To create and assign awards, follow the steps below:


1. Login to the dashboard as an Event Organizer.

2. Navigate to the left hand sidebar and select Results under Apps

3. After being redirected to the Results platform, click the Awards tab.

4. To create an award, enable the feature by toggling the Enable awards setting. Then click + Create your first award

5. When creating an award, ensure all required fields are completed and optional fields are filled in as applicable:

Field Value
Label The name of the award as it will appear in results and reports.
Group The award group this award belongs to. Groups are used to organise and control how awards are processed and displayed.
Based on rank or time field Determines which result metric is used to calculate the award (e.g. gun time, chip time, or rank).
Number of recipients The number of participants who will receive this award (e.g. top 3 finishers).
Award double dipping  Controls whether a participant who wins this award can also qualify for other awards.
Restrict to specific races Limits the award to participants in selected races or sub-events only.
Restrict by gender Limits the award to participants of a specific gender.
Restrict by age Limits the award to participants within a defined age range or category.
Restrict by custom value Limits the award based on a custom field or value within the results data.
Restrict by registration question Limits the award based on responses to a registration question (e.g. club, category, or eligibility question).

 

6. Once the award has been configured, click Save & Exit.

Additional award groups, divisions, or age categories can be created to help organise how awards are displayed on the results page.

7. When ready to assign awards, return to the Awards overview page, click the three-dot action menu, and select Auto-assign awards.

The awards will be assigned to the appropriate finishers based on the award configuration. If new results are uploaded after creating an award, re-assign the awards to update the winners.

8. To make the results viewable to the public, click the toggle under Display awards publicly. (This is enabled by default).

9. Find the Awards tab on the Results page to view award winners, or view the small trophy icon located within a runner's result to see if they were a winner of an award.
