How to assign awards based on Registration Questions

Use the Results platform to assign awards based on participant responses to Registration Questions. This allows for more targeted award categories, enabling recognition of specific groups such as age brackets, teams, or other predefined selections. Follow the steps below to configure and assign awards using registration question data.

Please Note: Some results types do not support this award configuration. For greater flexibility, a structured results upload with awards based on custom values is recommended.

1. Log into the dashboard as a Timer to open the Timer Dashboard. Alternatively log in to your dashboard as an Event Organizer then navigate to the left hand sidebar and select Results under Apps.

2. Select the race where awards will be assigned based off Registration Questions.

3. Scroll to Results settings and select the registration questions to import.
Note: Only multiple-choice questions are supported.

4. Click Awards at the top of the page and toggle the feature on.

5. Click Create award and complete the following:

  • Enter an award label
  • Select whether the award is based on rank or time
  • Define the number of recipients to receive the awards
  • Apply any additional restrictions as required

6. Enable Restrict by registration question and select the relevant question.

7. Click Save & Exit to return to the Awards overview page.

8. Use the three-dot action menu and select Auto-assign awards.

9. Award winners will be displayed on the results page once assigned.
