How do I post results for an event that isn't using Race Roster registration?

The Results platform can be used to publish and manage race results, even if registration was not completed through Race Roster. This allows results to be uploaded, processed, and shared with participants and the public in the same way as standard Race Roster events.

To post results for an event not using Race Roster registration, follow the steps below to create a placeholder event for results processing and publishing.

1. Navigate to the Timer Dashboard and sign in.

2. Ensure the Events tab is selected from the left hand sidebar. Click the green Create Event button, followed by Create results event.

3. Fill out the mandatory event information:

Value Description
Organization (mandatory) The owning organization.
Production Company (optional)  A secondary company helping in the race day delivery.
Timing Company (optional) The Timer company associated with the event.
Event Name (mandatory) The name of the event as it will appear on the results page.
Event Subtitle (optional) A secondary title or tagline to provide additional context about the event (ie year)
Event Website (optional) A link to the official event website for more information.
Event Summary (mandatory) A brief description of the event displayed on the results page. (Tip: Just use one space if you want this area to remain clear)
*Event format (mandatory) Either Upload external list (no registration) or Add non-participant data (no registration)
Event Type (mandatory) The primary classification of the event.
Event Location (mandatory) The physical location where the event takes place. This will auto-populate other mandatory address fields.
Language (mandatory) This determines how hard coded text is displayed to participants or users.
Time Zone (mandatory) The time zone applicable to the event location.
Event Date (mandatory) The date on which the event is held.
Event Type (optional) Select the specific type of event (e.g. running, walking, cycling) from the dropdown.

*Please Note: The event format field needs to be a no registration selection.  This tells the system that your placeholder event will not be taking registrations

4. Finish entering the event information and click Create Event to complete the process. The new event dashboard can now be used to host results without any registration component.
